FAA Part 145 Certified Repair Station
Panther City Aviation is now a FAA Part 145 Certified Repair Station, PCAR811E, for the classic Falcon Jets!
On 31 August 2026, Panther City Aviation received FAA approval as a certified Part 145 repair station with limited airframe ratings for all variants of the Dassault Falcon 50s and 900s.
Stewart Dimon, PCA’s Quality Manager, headed up the team that submitted the application requirements and wrote the required manuals for the effort.
Quoting the application process, Stewart said “I had been on several teams that made an application process and conformed our activities to the required manuals before, back in the day of 8900.1. The FAA uses the online SAS system now, and it’s a much more streamlined process…..once you get assigned to an inspector. I started the work in January of 2024 and submitted the application to the FAA in June of that year. The 145 app process is now nationalized, so you go to the AFS and hope that you get assigned to your local FSDO, which luckily we did. It sat in the pile of apps for about a month, and because we’re known to most of the front line inspectors at our FSDO, we basically got cherry-picked because the material we submitted was really compliant to AC145-9 and a smart PMI will see that its an easy task to climb the 145 ladder with you if you’re that kind of applicant. So, we got a great and helpful inspector assigned and began the SAS portal work in late June of this year and we were completely submitted by mid-August, and the certificate was approved the last day of the month. I couldn’t be more thrilled with our app team and the interaction with the FAA.”
PCA’s new certificate follows 15 years of experience performing inspection and repairs on the classic Falcons and the ratings include:
-
Falcon 50 and 50EX
-
Falcon 900 and 900C
-
Falcon 900EX and LX
